coming out call in radio show

today on Talk of the Nation on NPR they were discussing people coming out and welcomed calls sharing the same. this is the NPR link for Talk of the Nation. you can click on the part to listen to todays show, or search for Tuesdays the 16th, and then when the screen shows the player you can click on that part of the program on the right side. check it out if interested.
also tonight on PBS a show on "DOn't as dont tell". pretty interesting....

Dude! I stumbled across that PBS "Don't ask/don't tell" program tonight. Really interesting stuff, to say the least. I am in no way a huge gay rights advocate, but that show provoked emotions in me I didn't know I had.

Thanks for calling attention to the NPR show on coming out. While it wasn't anything really new, it underscored that it's different for everyone. Also, it's something you do when you're ready. It took me many years to come out to myself, mainly for religious and family reasons. I struggled for a long time. But when I did, it was a tremendous relief, like starting a new life. And I found a lot of support among friends, some of whom knew I was gay before I admitted it to myself. Still haven't had the talk with one of my brothers, though. .... I follow your blog a lot. Keep on keeping on!
