Really random question but, I currently work in consulting, but considering becoming a science teacher because I think it'll be something that I enjoy more. I know it's a lot of hard work, in a way that is totally different from consulting, but at least it seems more interesting. The one thing I'm worried about is the hit I'll take in salary. I'm pretty frugal and like to save my money for retirement, a rainy day, and to travel. My question is, will I actually be making the money to do all these things? I'm not for you to tell me how much you make so much as, I'm just curious about the security of the job. Also, has your sexuality ever come up in the classroom? I know you don't look "stereotypically" gay, but I do have some of the mannerisms. How would you handle it if it ever came up? I feel as if it's none my students business, but at the same time I do want to set a good example of acceptance.
