"If I tell people who I am and what I'm about, I'm true to myself. That means I'm not lying to myself. And what they do with it is on them. I'm not accountable for their feelings or how they perceive it, make faces and stuff... That's when I close in and discover who I am...part of this new life. " Mark Hogancamp Marwencol

uh yeah, those words scare me half to death. ha

Have you put this documentary on your netflix cue yet?

And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.”

Yeah, it's a tough decision to be authentic and risking disappointing those we love and care about. I'm struggling with what to do myself. said...

Within the past year, I came out to my wife, three teenage children, parents, siblings, close friends and work colleagues. Everyone (except, initially, my wife) has been 1000% supportive. There hasn't been a single negative incident about me being gay.

I now think my gayness and my coming-out is cause for celebration. All that worry about other peoples' reactions was unfounded. However, I know there are many parts of the world which are not as gay-friendly as Canada, where I live.
