greatest speech or not

someone on youtube posted this speech from a Charlie Chaplin film "The Great Dictator," I'm sure there are a lot of things you could argue for or against - but I thought the actor's delivery together with the video were still rather thought provoking...

stirring words. noble thoughts. human secularism is indeed attractive. it proffers that we have w/in us the ability to achieve perfection. it is indeed a bright and shiny apple. is it any wonder adam took a bite?

but secular humanism fails completely in its practice because it fails to admit to a greater power...a transcendent being. we, who have indeed been created in the image and likeness of God, nevertheless, have fallen short of the glory of God and can only achieve a perfection when we admit we are in need of God's saving grace. secular humanism is indeed righteous but will forever ring hollow without an acknowledgment and dependence on a transcendent creator.
