So my only issue with this is that I'd prefer to be "accepted," not "tolerated."Interesting... I went to school at OU (finished my MS in 2005). My friends were mostly in the Baptist Student Union, and one of them tried to "save" me, simply because I didn't go to church. I've wondered what he would do when he found out I was gay.I have to wonder what that guy thinks of Randy.
hopefully it's a start to a beginning of acceptance, if we begin with tolerance. consider cultures in the world in general who may never accept the other, but they can live peaceably in tolerance. surely?!??!
it is great to see someone like randy standing up for us! esp. someone who has been so involved with fundamentalist Christians. I know as I was there too, also married, and i know all the scripture they use to condemn us. It is not an easy road...
