update on dan

I bought this shirt online yesterday as a sort of gift to myself. I have a birthday coming up the end of the month and my usual custom is to treat myself to a little something. I'm going to Santa Fe for the last week of July with my Austin buddy, so the shirt will be something new to wear. It was a splurge, and I've budgeted some money for the week there but otherwise I'm going to be very lean with my spending. I plan to be as careful until I get a JOB! I applied at the state department today for an opening there, and although it's a year round job, it pays more than public school teaching. I'm not sure the position is something I could whole heartedly do, but if I get an interview I can learn more about if we fit. The position listed that speaking another language was wanted, and so I kind of applied out of spite because I feel like what they really want to say is A SPANISH SPEAKING LATINAMERICAN . I doubt they could actually put that in as a requirement though. ha

Happy Birthday this month to Passing Fancy blog, he was in town today with his new boyfriend, and we got to meet up and eat at the mall and walk around and I really enjoyed hearing everything he's been up to. I need to definitely try and visit Dallas to celebrate our birthdays.
