car show

got up and out this morning in time to go to a funeral. It was for my brother-in-laws mom and graveside. Next went by the car show in town to show some love and support to my dad. He was up there with the 41 Ford he's been restoring for the past few years. SO I sat in the shade with him and my mom for a while, and my mom was pointing out some Bel Air cars she remembered going out in dates in. I walked around and checked out some very nice old Cameros and Chevy trucks.. ahh yeah, it's not as redneck as you'd think what with the guys with their low riders and a few BMW Mini's.
got home and napped a bit before going in to work tonight, way too hot here in the 100's for mid July if you ask me but ahhh well. At least I'm home and experiencing living here and doing my yard work and going to movies and seeing my family unlike last year stuck on a base overseas.
SPeaking of movies, I went with my good bud S. to see "away we go" last night. It was definitely paced like most indy filmes, but I have to say a really good and uplifting tale. The chemistry between Kasinsky and Rudolph seemed real onscreen. Next on the list, HARRY POTTER!! ha ha. ahh yeah I'm not into the books and all that, but just like the effects of the movies so might was well see it on the big screen....what with no more lord of the rings movies coming out... sniff sniiff... ha ha. What are you guys up to this hot hot mid summer weekend?
I'd rather be out on a lake in a boat! If there's ever a huge amount of money-making job in my future, I have GOT to get a boat and some lake property somewhere for the summers!! love that.

We're gonna need WWIII for things to get back to normal. Wars always follow Depressions. They always do.

I think the movie is called "Away We Go", not "Along the Way", and it's a good argument for breeders not being allowed to raise children. And John K. is so hot. And he's the shortest of 3 brothers.
