trip planning...

i got some great emails with ideas for travel, keep 'em coming. I thought I'd post my plans so far when i get out of here. My return ticket goes back through Paris. so I've told my boss to delay the part from paris back to the states for a month. I will train to london where I can stay with a friend. and then I plan to fly back and forth from there to Senegal to stay with friends, and then Barcelona where I'll be on my own, and then maybe train around to some different places, or I'm also considering amsterdam to see a friend there, also the Anne Frank Museum is there (I taught 8th grade English for 3 years including the diary etc).
I researched some online about Barcelona and it's definitely the choice over madrid, at first i came up with this site called disco damaged which made me think i was way in over my head, yes lots of gay guys just travel for sex tourism apparently. I'm not looking to f- around just go out have some time, enjoy the view, maybe if I'm lucky get to make out with someone JP style before going home...
So I was glad to find more information on bars in general there, like this Barcelona tour site for st8 and gay clubs.
Most likely I'll just pick a place and take what comes my way. Any suggestions on clubs in barcelona and what they're wearing at clubs, and sites to see in general definitley appreciated.
Obviously as october approaches I'll be doing a lot more research online of everything.
Things on base are going well. good weather not too hot, students learning their English, the gym is aweomse. I am taking my protein every night, I'm not sure what to expect from that but workouts remian good. I am also still taking glutamine tablets, but I think Creatine would bump up everything more but still undecided on that one. OH YEAH, and there are some new portugal guys on base and these two are so great together. both shorter and same brown skin and all defined and muscular, one a little more than the other. and they are a good work out pair. one has this tattoo on back of his calf of a sort of winged demon and it's sort of funny how it has this huge package drawn in the loincloth its wearing. ha
Also has anyone seen "Beowulf"? I watched it on my computer last night from a DVD I got at the market and it was pretty interesting, nicely drawn hero and all that.

for some it's just genetics!!! ugh

ebay stuff....

I'm wondering what favorite searches others might have on ebay that you are buying or collecting. My consistent searches when I'm killing time online and checking out ebay are;
eames eiffel
eames lcw
groovisions
frankoma fish
penguin m
tom of finland
I dont' know, probably something I left out but those are the ones I think of randomly and look at just to see what prices are or what'e online. I don't really buy much except the occasional penguin shirt cause I like the way they fit. I bought those fold up speakers but they were delivered to the states so they are waiting in storage for a blog review when I get back home. I also got a box of misprinted pencils shipped over here for the school. And then some art supplies like brushes, paint, and canvas boards for a pilot in one of my classes (got to support the arts!).

gymspiration.....

it's different....

the news about the shooting outside the USA embassy in Istanbul was strange to read about because I'd been right across th street at my tour guides office while in Turkey, so it's sort of strange when there is news and you think to yourself, yeah I've been on that road...etc.
same thing , if you'd heard, about the big explosion outside the Indian embassy here. I had to go back there three times, and i have to say they were keeping the street secure. but now its sad, 4 clerks, on consulate, and 2 guards, among many other civilians where they line up in these long lines outside waiting for permission to go to India. Also looks like I won't be going back to India as planned in August since I won't be able to get a visa in time to make the trip.
Tajikistan anyone?

ready for the Olympics?

just won't be the same this year without Katie and Matt..... ahh well i won't see much anyway overseas.

protein time...

I'm kicking it up a notch with some protein supplement. why not since I have 3 months left and hope to get as big as possible before heading back, the thing is I have to kill a month travelling before going home which is just enough time to shrink back to size.... SO yeah I'll be doing pushups and pullups and looking for gyms but you know that ain't easy when travelling around.
I am still hoping for some good tips from readers if you can suggest places to go in europe, so far I'll have a home base of sorts in London with a friend, and was thinking of flying down to Spain and also kill some time in paris. but I don't want to rack up too much of a bill. I do want to use some spanish in Spain though and see madrid or Barcelona, anyone know which is better? or I've considered Greece but I' not sure about Greece in October....
ok so back to workouts. I bought some "Isopure" protein and am taking it every night before bed. tonight is the second night of chugging it down so we'll see how it goes.
hope all had a great 4th of july weekend out on a boat somehwere in a lake!
