I'v been thinking a little bit about different faiths and gay guys. I mean guys who like me, grow up with a religion and have faith in their God and suddenly find themselves enjoying the idea of being with other men. It's pretty cool sharing the whole deal with guys online who are in the closet or gay and reconciled or not with their Christian faith. But I guess when i consider all the muslim guys I see everyday, and their non gay male affection with one another constantly, but on the other hand of course there are gay guys out there. So I was just wondering about the devout muslim type and how do they reconcile sex with men. Probably easier since this culture everyone gets married anyway. But then I also thought of devout Jewish guys and what they must think when becoming aware of homosexual attractions... anyway just thoughts, maybe they have blogs too like this one, in between knowing what they'd like to do in life, family traditions in conflict with that lifestyle, or endless nights in the closet etc etc.
anyway here s a nice video;
If this weren't a music video I'd have to ask, just where exactly are these clubs with the hot Hebrew men fighting over each other anyway.....? ha
ALSO, has anyone seen the movie "walk on water", it's a foreign film if you can handle that, but it is EXCELLENT.

I love Eytan Fox films...and you should really also check out "Yossi & Jagger" (especially because of the whole military thing you've got going on right now) and "The Bubble".
Also, check out the amaaaaaazing (and biggest) Israeli pop star, Ivri Lider (openly gay since releasing his 3rd album in 2001, and that hasn't hurt his popularity one bit ! 8).
Of course, there's also Dana International, who won Eurovision a few years ago and is a big star in Israel...and a transsexual.
For the Israeli gay experience (well, orthodox Jewish, I guess), check out the documentary "Trembling Before G-d".
I have benn cheking your blog fews dats ago, and honestly what attract me first was the photos but I start reading what you writes and it's interessting, I am muslim but my islam is far from what you see in kabul.
I think it's hard to be gay when you are a believer despite your religion.
I like the first video, even if it's jewish guy!
The hot hebrew guys are in weho of course. (lol) Although this one has yet to have developed the confidence as those shown throughout the video. Shalom!
There's also a recent documentary called "Forbidden Love" that just opened in Toronto. I haven't had a chance to see it, but CBC has a review and some info.

The URL will probably break, but if you go to www.cbc.ca and click on entertainment you'll find it.
hey dude - love the post - i think you can be religious, believe in god and still be gay. who you sleep with has nothing to do with believing in God and having faith. its about you and God and no one else.
Eytan Fox is great. If you haven't seen The Bubble, you should. It's incredible, it's one of my favorite movies. Walk on Water was great too, but taking his films chronologically I like each one more than the last. Anyways this is my first comment here I think, but I've been reading your blog for a few months now.
I agree with Tarotbyhic. "Trembling Before G-d" is fantastic. I was amazed at how similar the experiences of these gay orthodox Jews were to mine as a gay person with a background as a fundamentalist Christian.
Dan, I enjoy your blog, and as a Christian, seeking an authentic spirituality in Jesus Christ.. I still enjoy your blog.
Personally, I no longer believe in the gay lifestyle, though I understand it's allures. The struggle of our free will is always a major issue, no matter what we believe in, and there is no thing wrong with an intelligent choice for Christ.
Peace,
Buddy
Hopefully Dan you will realize that you only believe most of this supernatural stuff because you have heard it most of your life. As a result it has lowered your threshold for logic and proof regarding the claims of Christian faith.
If I told you that I could snap my fingers and become invisible, you would only believe me to the extent I could prove it to you, right? Why don’t you hold your religion to the same standard. Ask yourself has anything really happened in your religious life that requires a supernatural explanation? You cannot assume that the religious emotional highs that you feel are supernatural based, those feelings can be recreated chemically with dopamine and norepinephrine.
In your case Dan it is not healthy to persecute yourself with religious fantasy just because you happen to be gay a normal biological variation. I hope you realize this sooner rather than later, your not getting any younger, and it would be a shame to spend your lifetime in torment over some old traditions that are more than likely just mythology.
Have you seen the documentary, For the Bible Told Me So. They have it at Blockbuster now, check it out when you get back if it is not online somewhere. It describes several families that have had to reconcile their faith and homosexuality.
The club in the video looks alot like the clubs in Tel Aviv! Tons of hot Israelis!
