got the visa to visit India, now i have to find the right plane ticket. I'm thinking about 5 days will be enough. We have upaid leave here so i hate to miss too many days off the paycheck.
everything going well enough here on base. gym is excellent as ever, everyone in shape, all ages, very euro, etc
If only these guys realized what a great kisser I am. among other oral skils of course, but man just to kiss on someone. I'll take it, drink some, loosen up, make out, mack as we said in college.
On another completely different note. Today is April 19th, and it is the 13th anniversary of the Oklahoma City bombing in 1995. 168 innocent lives suddenly taken away. It sort of sucks growing up I was just from Oklahoma, now people will ask "isn't that where they had the bombing....etc" But it's good to remember and honor the victims. So feel free anyone to comment if you have any "i remember where i was that day" stories.
A reader asked about what websites for overseas here. well let me tell you I'm still searching and have an ad up and have only connected with one usa dude here on base who wasn't my type, and then another italian guy who'd like to meet me but he's on another base. anyway, slim pickens. but if you email me I'll hook ya up with the name of the site etc..

was in okc today! walked for the american heart association which was to raise money for heart research, and it was in honor of the victims of April 19th.
I remember i was in school when the bombing happened, and a week later, before they demolished the building, we went up and looked at it. I still remember it really vividly...so sad.
I think I have told you the where I was that day story.
I think I was in 2nd or 3rd grade. I remember being at my grandma's house when that happened and seeing it all over television. I remember this being one of the few news events that I truly remember and understood what was going on. I remember my grandma telling me how awful it was and her getting on the phone and calling my aunt in Oklahoma and could not get a hold of her because she was at work or something.
That night I remember watching the news coverage on TV and I was so interested in it and running back and forth between my bedroom and my parents in the front room telling them what happened. I remember the reporters covering the story and that's what really interested me in journalism- getting to report on stuff like that, while tragic, just getting to experience stuff like this firsthand interested me. I think it was 8 or 9p.m. before my grandma finally got in touch with my aunt in OKC.
I remember that a couple years early the whole Branch Dividian Complex in Waco Texas and how big of a story it was, seeing it played over and over, yet never understanding what was going on and why it was showed over and over.
The OKC bombings stood out to me and I guess it was much easier to comprehend being a little kid- a bad guy named Timothy Mcveigh bombed a building, it stuck out to me how many children died, and the whole thing of a guy setting off a bomb was just much easier, but I'll always remember this.
I was in the military at the time, stationed in the UK. As dinner was cooking on the stoves, one of our British co-workers came in and announced that, and I quote" some bad shit is going on in the US". As you can imagine, you can’t let a statement like that go unchecked. When I saw the pictures on the news, all I could remember thinking was- what the hell is going on in Oklahoma; this is absolutely crazy. We all know what transpired next. That was a sad day and I certainly hope we never ever forget what its like to be attacked.
