church cancels FUNERAL (not wedding, oop) because the guy was gay...

this story is about a guy who the church found out was gay a day before the funeral and so cancelled it. He wasn't a member, but his brother was a janitor at the church. When they saw guys together in the video for the funeral they were "shocked" and cancelled it. I'm not saying whether I agree or not, but you can read about it here...

youtube fun.......

good quote for today ...

Man is a mystery: if you spend your entire life trying to puzzle it out, then do not say that you have wasted your time. I occupy myself with this mystery, because I want to be a man.
-Fyodor Dostoevsky at age 18

football dreams crushed....

speaking of football... there was an accident about 2 miles northwest of my house involving a 14 year old kid running on a trail to get into shape for his freshman year at football practice when a dump truck backed into him and killed him. It was in the papers today that the family is suing the construction company for $5 million. More about the story here if interested.

UPDATE: the $5 mil lawsuit on todays front page headline was a hoax. the family was apalled to see the news, they had called the attorney about consulting ONLY, and the guy goes ahead and files a claim. I'm glad the sister of the boy killed was on the news to set it straight so the community doesn't talk about them being money grubbing etc....and the lawyer has been investigated by the bar before for trading sex for legal fees etc... whatever.

OU and the 3 quarterbacks...

fan day was last weekend at OU and there was a lot of news coverage here in sooner nation about which quarterback Stoops would start with this year, or if he'd go with 2 etc etc..
SO I thought I'd post some pics of the three potential stars, make that royalty here in Oklahoma. And it's not a bad thing, I love OU football, I'm always for OU except when they play OSU. here are all 3 at spring training, #6 Keith Nichol, # 14 Sam Bradford, and #15 Joey Halzle.
Keith is from Missouri and 6'2: Sam is 6'4 and from OKC: Joey is from California and also 6'4.
The sports writer in the Daily Oklahoman is pulling for local boy Sam Bradford. And of course this is all we'll hear about til opening game day no doubt! ha.

wrestle or rassle....

shout out to JP's blog "OVERNIGHT IN NY"

How could you pass over checking up on this blog with a subtitle that says, "JP IS SETTING GOALS AND READY TO KICK SOME ASS"..... Stay caught up with his progress and what it's like for a sporty masculine gay guy trying to find just the right man in NYC, of course the main challenge is meeting guys while keeping up with his graveyard shift hours at work. thus the title.

Another great thing about OVERNIGHT IN NEW YORK is keeping up JP's weekend shenanigans. All the coolest bars, and always running into people he knows, and consistently finding some not so straight hunk to make out with.

I know if I ran into JP at some bar I'd definitely keep the drinks coming, and eventually steer the conversation to taking a walk outside or the the bathroom. ha! Now go leave JP a comment at his blog here.

my mailman...........

this is the nicest guy, makes great small talk like my yardwork or the weather...
for a couple summers now I've made it a point to be outside doing yardwork in the morning near the front yard and am sure to be wearing not much of anything, well to be honest regardless of the postman I don't wear much, only an old pair of converse and some guatamalan shorts/boxers, and that is commando. although this summer its the camo cargo shorts with converse and nothing else....
well regardless I get NOT ONE signal from this guy at all, and thus he's a straight boy.
however doesn't hurt to check this guy out, and smile and get him to smile at me etc etcc.
He has a preppy leftover from high school haircut, but his legs, butt, back. that tight uniform polo shirt, and his oh so cool sunglasses and facial hair.... he he. what I really like is when he calls me buddy or partner. so I snuck these pics Monday....any one else have a hot mailman or any comment?....

awesome song alert, Plain White T's

I realize this song is already pretty mainstream, but it's still great. I've been hearing it on Virgin Radio UK online for a while.
THey performed on a morning show last week, and here I was expecting them all to be in a white t-shirt, but nah. go figure.......

summer vacation part 2

well I need to finish the post about my vacation to Grand Rapids.
span >Friday morning we drove up to Saugatuck and walked all over the streets and banks there with a beautiful view of boats and the other side of the river etc...we then stopped by Holland on the way back to GR.Friday night went to a birthday party, lots of really really nice young couples with babies and kids, a few hot moms and dads in the mix.. but who has time to think about that when so many cute kids running around and I was trying not to feel jealous not having yet procreated...anyway, Saturday we spent most of the day preparing the back yard and house for my buds birthday party, he had invited about 60 people, friends, family, church friends and coworkers .. and about all 60 showed up. We had a real nice back yard barbecue and the weather was perfect and no mosquitoes (no rain this summer in GR). My buddy's dad and friend came early morning and started roasting a pig. It was done by 3:30 or 4 that afternoon.
Sunday after church I went to see a few Frank Lloyd Wright houses in GR. One of them gave tours of the inside, so I have included some pics here. I look forward to getting back to Grand Rapids at least every 2 years if I can't make it each summer. the tickets from OKC are always high, like around $400 or over. (I can fly to NY or CA a lot cheaper-- sucks)

quick note before bed

I met a blogger buddy today here in OKC from "randomnthoughtsetc...." out in California. he is linked at the right. anyway, he flew through OKC on his way from Miss to Cali so I picked him up for lunch between flights. we went to Zio's, an italian restaurant north of the airport. He's the nicest guy, great smile, and in all was a real pleasure to hang out with and talk face to face about stuff he's said on his blog and of course, I felt pretty comfortable since he's read this one....
Also I've chatted on aol with him before etc.. so very cool. THANKS MJ for making the stop and taking time to let me take you to lunch. I was just thinking without the internet and blogs that meeting never would happened. ha
MJ's blog is really telling a guy dealing with the whole gay thing, his family, trying to live at home and go to college and deal with parents and meet guys to experiment with all at the same time... He's also super sharp, and understands me since he also comes from the same sort of CHristian conservative upbringing. I'll link his blog here tomorrow....
I was thinking today what we need is blog appreciation week. So I'm going to try and comment about a different blog all week and give some shout outs.

update on the roomie: he left his conditioner bottle on the floor next to my chair at the computer again Saturday morning. I guess it's typical how once we men cum the mind goes immediately blank and we just carry on about our business... well by that I mean he doesn't bother to come back into the room and double check that he removed his lube, not to mention he never clears his history on here. he likes to stroke it to young tittie pics of girls btw. ah well. later.
