First off, I always - always shower at night before bed. (weekdays and sat I usually shower at the gym before lunch). however this is my home routine;
enter b/r, shut door, turn on water, kick off boxers onto the floor.
search for floss, floss teeth, then grab toothbrush.
apply toothpaste and set on top the ledge above sliding shower door.
step into the bathtub and adjust shower spray
apply shampoo and scrub in
let shampoo set a bit while brushing teeth
rinse hair, apply conditioner
let set while soaping up and washing up.
rinse all over. clean Dan !
get out, towell off.
I actually only shampoo prolly every 2-3 days; I like to get a little build up of product in my hair now and then.
so that's my usual shower, not including the cold days or times I'm completely beat and might get in and just sit down holding my knees and let the shower hit the back of head or neck. also not including when the roomie isn't home and I can spend as much time as I'd like in the shower considering things.....ha.
(another thing, I can always tell if my roomie showered last because he pushes the doors to one side, and I always leave them in the middle so that air can sort of circulate around both sides.)

Huh...I always wash my body first then wash my hair. I love showering right before bed but I'm usually too lazy to and wait until morning.
No Justin, Dan's right: Hair, then body. But I also wash my face separately at the very end.
Nothing Golden Stays
Dan,
Kick the boxers off in your room, walk to the bathroom, leave the door open as an invitation to roomie. When he comes in, wash his hair to relax him, and then help him shave, be sure the proper razor for the proper body part, since he keeps 3 in the shower. You would not want to upset the order of things...
Hi Dan ---
I'm up the road in Tulsa and read your blog regularly.
My hair gets smashed to one side while sleeping and looks awful in the morning, so I always shower when I get up. First the body, then the hair, then the face with no soap face wash, dry off then shave.
God, I hate tub showers! Can't wait to rip out my tub and replace it with a full width shower. It will be big enough to have a party in there ;-)
Also, those after shower sprays (eg, by Tilex) are fantastic to help keep the shower clean.
